Found my good hair - at last.
I have been wearing hair replacement now for about four years. Not only do I have significant hair loss, what bio hair I have left is scraggly and it all made me look much older. I also don't like myself without hair. I started with full-cap (synthetic) wigs, at first, before moving on to human hair top pieces.

I wanted to move back to full-cap wigs because 1) color-matching became a big pain, 2) I was reacting poorly to tapes and glues and 3) the supply chain problem made it difficult to find the hairpieces I needed and wanted. I thought I was consigned to hit-or-miss situations with either wigs that fit me too large or women's wigs trimmed to more masculine styles. The latter felt too dense and sometimes fit too small.

I did some more searching on the Internet and found Belle Madame wigs - and that they had a men's line. Unfortunately, they are hard to find for sale in the US, so I opted to order from Continental Wigs.

After some trial and error, I went with Luca SF, and I think this is about as close to a custom fit as I'm going to find in an "off-the-shelf" wig. Not only was I able to get one in my color (2B/10), after getting it trimmed, I felt confident in my look! I give credit to the fit to its hand-tied cap. The hairline appears *far* better than on the wig I was using before; it actually has a recession! And I don't need a touch of tape in the front because it tends to stay down quite well. And this wig feels very secure because of the silicone pieces on the ear tabs and the nape. And did I mention how well it fit?

I'm back to using synthetic wigs, but I may opt for a Belle Madame human hair piece down the road. I may not have to because the quality of this fiber is just right. It's not shiny or too dry. I'll see how it fares during the summer, if it gets too warm or not.

I'll add, too, that CW's customer service is outstanding. They were very responsive and patient with my questions and feedback. It took some trial and error to find what I needed, but thanks to them, I was able to succeed.

If there is any "negative," it's the cost of shipping. That's not necessarily CW's fault; it's just the cost of business, but £20 is still a touch hefty. But at least 1) I don't need to pay customs fees and 2) my wigs arrived sooner than I've gotten from merchants here in the US!

Thank you CW and Belle Madame. And thank you for having some hair in stock!
